Broadcast television operates over public airwaves and have an obligation to serve the public interest. Recently, however, KABC refused to send even a single reporter/news crew to cover a reported 15,000 + taxpayers who gathered to rally and protest the most recent California Budget imposing the largest state tax increase in US history on the strugling people of California. For this reason, I will be calling for local advertisers to withdraw their support from this station. The public deserved to hear and know when taxpayers protest, the same as they do when teachers protest or when illegal aliens protest. I don't have a problem with any station covering these stories or any stories of local interest, but I fully expect for "Eyewitness News" to cover a story of this magnitude. Show KABC that you expect honest and fair reporting and contact these advertisers to ask them to withdraw their ad dollars from KABC. Please do not bully or threaten to boycott these businesses, they are struggeling just like we are. Politely ask them to join this fight with us, afterall, it benefits them too.

10 Ways to Starve Sacramento, CA - Part 1
Like you, I am sending a message to Sacramento. You will not continue to choke the regular people to bribe the special interest. Several months ago I decided to start withholding support for "the Machine" by boycotting UNION grocery stores. In the same way that one union will expect the support of other unions during a labor dispute, until these other unions are willing to denounce the "mob" tactics of the public employees union, they are also the enemy. Private companies can do what they want, but the public employees union is taxpayer supported and cannot be allowed to bleed the state taxpayers dry.
Ralphs, Vons, Albertsons etc. will NOT continue to see my business and I encourage you do do the same. Once a month, I travel 20 miles to a Super WalMart in Rosemead, CA to do my major shopping. Not only do I boycott the union stores, I save about 30% on my grocery bill. When I need to buy something between my shopping trips, I visit Whole Foods Market or Trader Joe's. People say "oh, you get poor service from low wage workers", but the friendliness and service at these stores is far superior to the major chains.
I hope you'll join me, and I hope you'll stop back for additional ways to starve Sacramento into submission to the people.
Thank you.
